About the role

We are seeking dynamic educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools through the Michigan Alternative Certification program. These roles provide an opportunity to impact student lives while pursuing certification in high-need subject areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Prepare classroom for class activities and manage student behavior to ensure a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Provide appropriate feedback on work and encourage student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
• Participate in departmental and school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other required school functions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to meet certification requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative route.
• Demonstrated potential for effective teaching, including strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with K-12 students in educational, mentoring, or coaching settings is preferred but not required.
• Subject-matter expertise in high-need areas such as mathematics, science, special education, world languages, or career and technical education.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse school environments.
