Elementary Teacher- 2nd Grade (Leave Replacement)
The Auburn School District is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher to join our team. Reporting to the Building Administrator, this position is part of the Auburn Education Association.
About the role
This role is responsible for providing instruction to 2nd grade students, supporting their social and emotional development, and adhering to the district’s curriculum standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state educational standards.
- Assess student progress through various methods and provide feedback to parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate.
- At least two years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,304 - $133,953 DOE 25-26 School Year rates for current salary schedule and union agreement can be found on the Human Resources page under Resources.
