About the Role
Seeking onsite Elementary School Speech-Language Pathologists to support students with communication needs in an educational setting. The role involves working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to promote communication growth and student success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' communication abilities.
- Develop and implement evidence-based speech and language intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to integrate strategies into the curriculum.
- Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights and progress updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and provide training on communication strategies and assistive technology.
- Mentor or supervise assistants or students and ensure therapy services align with least restrictive environment principles.
Requirements
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
- Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Maintain licensure per ASHA requirements.
