This role may be offered on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on departmental needs and the timing of the hire.
Requirements
- Elementary and Special Education certification (eligible or possessed)
- Successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out-of-state teaching license
- Out-of-state candidates:
- Less than 1 year of experience: Initial License
- 1–4 years of experience: Initial License
- Standard certificates from other states may be recognized for eligibility
- Pre-employment requirements:
- Official transcripts (if applicable)
- Updated resume
- Three letters of recommendation
- Criminal background check
- Tuberculosis test
- Proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License)
- Documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- Completion of I-9 form
- Completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry
Pay
In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree.
