Multiple positions available for the 2026–27 school year, starting August 2026. Assignment location within the East Aurora School District to be determined.

About the role

Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities in both elementary special-education classrooms and one-to-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special-education teacher in delivering IEP-driven instruction and accommodations.
• Implement behavior-intervention plans and collect data on student progress.
• Support students with personal-care needs as required.
• Facilitate small-group and individual learning activities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to reinforce skills across environments.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent; some college or para-professional certification preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities, especially autism and emotional-behavioral disorders.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and physically assist students as needed.
• Strong communication skills and patience in high-stress situations.
