Elementary School Teacher - Third Grade

Job Responsibilities

• Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
• Teach science and math concepts relevant to middle school students, including topics like fractions, decimals, percentages, basic algebra, geometry, and data analysis.
• Create and administer assessments to measure progress towards academic standards
• Analyze assessment data to refine curriculum and guide instructional practices
• Prepare students to successfully pass all state-required assessments, including EOGs and/or EOCs
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
• Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior
• Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

• North Carolina State Teaching License
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work well with diverse student populations
• Knowledge of educational principles and teaching methods
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be reliable, proficient, and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times

Compensation

Commensurate with experience.
