About the role

The AmeriCorps Education Fellow will provide academic support and enrichment to students at Great Oaks Legacy Charter High School. Responsibilities include tutoring, mentoring, and facilitating academic workshops.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in various subjects
• Mentor students to help them achieve their academic goals
• Facilitate academic workshops and seminars
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student learning experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Pass a background check

Qualifications

• Experience working with high school students
• Knowledge of educational strategies and best practices
• Interest in education reform and community engagement

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
