About the Role

This position is for a part-time kindergarten teacher.

Requirements

• Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), or
• Apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to participate in the Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program upon hiring (proof of AEL required before being added to the candidate pool), or
• Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university (accepted in lieu of an AEL).

Retirement

Benefit-eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). The district contributes to the URS plan monthly. After a four-year vesting period, employees may choose between:

• Hybrid option: Combination of a pension and a 401k plan, or
• 401k option: Fully employer-paid.
