Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who is committed to the ministry of Catholic education, creating a classroom environment where students feel safe to learn, pray, and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Faith Leadership: Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the daily curriculum. Lead students in daily prayer and attend school-wide Liturgies and prayer services.
  • Instructional Excellence: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons across core subjects (Religion, ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) in alignment with Archdiocesan standards.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, disciplined, and organized classroom environment based on mutual respect and Christian charity.
  • Differentiated Learning: Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and spiritual development.
  • Professional Development: Participate in faculty meetings, Diocesan professional development days, and spiritual retreats

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Faith: Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification: Valid Pa. State Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency with classroom technology (e.g., Smartboards, Google Classroom), and a collaborative spirit.
  • Clearances: Must pass all required background checks and complete "Safe Environment" training as mandated by the Diocese.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to supervise students in various settings (classroom, playground, church).
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and move about the classroom frequently.
