How This Role Fits into the Team

Serves as the Lead Teacher, setting the tone for a structured and nurturing learning environment.

Develops and delivers engaging lesson plans aligned with the classical education philosophy.

Organizes and manages a structured, orderly, and visually inviting classroom to promote a peaceful and effective learning environment.

Implements effective classroom management strategies, routines, and rhythms to foster student responsibility and attentiveness.

Maintains and updates the gradebook on the school's server for parent accessibility and transparency.

Affixes to assess incoming students to determine grade-level proficiency.

Keeps lesson plans updated and uploaded on the school server, creating curriculum maps for all grade-level subjects.

Communicates regularly with parents and staff, fostering a strong partnership in student education.

Participates in faculty meetings and professional development workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Provides lesson plans for substitute teachers and secures a substitute when needed.

Conducts parent-teacher conferences twice per year, scheduled outside normal school hours as needed.

Completes regular report cards and progress reports in accordance with the academic calendar.

Hosts parents in the classroom during Back-to-School Night and the All-School Open House to showcase student learning and curriculum goals.

Assists in school programming, including morning supervision, recess and lunch duty, drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Supports the broader teaching staff and school community by helping with school events, field trips, and special programming.

Takes responsibility for student learning outcomes, offering additional support and accommodations before, during, or after school when necessary.

Employment Type & Compensation

  • Employment Type: Full Time Salaried, Exempt - 40 hours a week
  • Sick Pay: 72 hours annually accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
  • Benefits: 100% Employer Paid Healthcare, Computer, equipment & software
  • Compensation: Annual salary paid bi monthly. Optional partial tuition credit available.
