Elementary School Teacher ELA

About the Role

This is a full-time, 10-month teaching position for a Missouri certified teacher in grades 3-5, specializing in English Language Arts at a North St. Louis City private school. The teacher will assume full management of the classroom and curriculum, assign grades, and update parents on student progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom oversight and instruction to all assigned students, including those who learn differently.
• Manage classroom curriculum and activities.
• Assign grades and communicate student progress to parents.

Requirements

• Current Missouri DESE teacher certification for grades 1-6.
• Two or more years of lead teaching experience in a general education setting.
• Ability to determine and meet the academic and social/emotional needs of students.
• Ability to work within the culture and expectations of the school assignment.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt, at-will position. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings.
