About the Role
The Global Corner is a not-for-profit organization that teaches children about other countries and cultures through hands-on activities, creating a “virtual adventure” for young learners. Each year, we focus on one country—this year, the Philippines—and visit elementary schools across Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties to engage students in kindergarten through 5th grade.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 60-80 days during the school year. Hours are typically 8:00 am to 10:30 am.
Pay
$60 per day for teaching days. Teachers are also expected to assist with a few organizational events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Teach elementary school students about global cultures through interactive, hands-on activities.
- Travel to different schools each week across Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
- Adapt to new students, locations, and daily activities.
- Participate in organizational events as needed.
Requirements
- Elementary school-level teaching experience.
- Reliable transportation to travel to schools across Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
- Flexibility to work in dynamic, changing environments.
- Curiosity about other cultures (knowledge of Tagalog is not required).

The Global Corner is a Northwest Florida non-profit dedicated to promoting global competency and cultural appreciation. Through language, geography, art, song, dance, and more, we provide a tactile learning experience that fosters understanding, empathy, and civility in young students.
