Elementary School Teacher
JOB SUMMARY
The Ladue School District is seeking an innovative, energetic, and student-centered educator to join the Ladue Fifth Grade Center (FGC). Unlike a traditional elementary setting, the FGC is a unique campus designed exclusively to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of 5th graders. Here, you will help students bridge the gap between elementary and middle school in an environment entirely tailored to their unique developmental milestones.
MINIMAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaches knowledge and skills to fifth grade students, following the curriculum adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.
- Experience in upper elementary is preferred.
- Maximizes assessment strategies to promote student learning and growth in all aspects of the curriculum especially in the area of critical thinking.
- Maintains familiarity with district and Missouri State standardized tests for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement on such tests.
- Teachers are expected to become familiar with the Board policies, rules, and procedures and the district curriculum so that they may be able to carry these into effective operation.
- Collaborates with appropriate stakeholder groups within the school and community.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Missouri Teacher Certification in Elementary Education 1-6 or 5-9 specific content certification required.
COMPENSATION
Salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience using the 2026-27 Teacher Salary Schedule. Benefits are offered with this position.
