Elementary School Teacher (2nd Grade) - Mount Zion Christian Academy

About the Role

This position involves teaching elementary school students. The successful candidate will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge, coupled with the desire to encourage and inspire students to love learning and excel academically. A passion for Christian education is a must-have for this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary school courses: ELA, History, Math, Science from a biblical worldview
• Maintain a safe and disciplined environment for students
• Create and implement daily lessons, incorporating Biblical integration in each lesson
• Maintain a high level of classroom management
• Observe and evaluate the progress of each student
• Differentiate instruction as required
• Maintain communication with parents and be available for parent conferences
• Work cooperatively with administrators, fellow teachers, and parents
• Attend staff meetings, staff training, and school functions
• Assist the Administration with specified activities
• Create a personal development plan documenting professional growth
