Elementary School: Aide EL Compliance 2026-2027
Job Overview
The Aide EL Compliance, will work with various stakeholders, both on and off campus, to ensure that emergent bilingual (EB) students are provided with the appropriate language support and/or services. The incumbent will assist the campus LPAC administrator, campus ESL teacher, and teachers of EB students by maintaining order and organization of written and electronic records of EB students, assisting with the language assessment of EB students, preparing documents and reports needed for LPAC meetings, and monitoring the accuracy of written and electronic EB student records.
Position Description
Direct Service
- Administer language assessments for the identification and/or reclassification of EB students
- Collaborate with campus staff and other school district personnel to ensure the accuracy of written and electronic EB student records
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders, including parents and other school district personnel, to obtain needed EB student documentation
- Conduct periodic internal audits of written and electronic EB student data, making/documenting corrections
Indirect Service
- Maintain student confidentiality at all times
- Advocate for EB students
- Attend meetings and trainings for professional development
Reports
- Complete periodic reports, prepare forms, and other clerical duties to assist with LPAC meetings, department documentation, and campus documentation
- Maintain accurate EB student records within the student EB student/LPAC folders
- Maintain accurate EB student records in electronic databases such as Skyward, EDIT PLUS, district EL platform, etc.

Qualification Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Ability to learn and adapt to different computer programs and/or databases
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and district information
Ability to collaborate effectively with district staff and multiple campuses’ staff, students, and parents
Ability to organize and maintain accurate student data and information
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of cultural competence in working with diverse populations
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with deadlines
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Work is performed in classrooms, offices, work stations and meeting rooms
Occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers and presentation materials
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties
May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress
Additional Information
This position may require travel to various campuses and district meeting sites
