Elementary Registrar
About the role
Responsible for maintaining student academic records and student attendance at the campus level under minimal supervision. Process student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals for the campus. Perform data entry for the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and three years of clerical experience preferred. Must have the ability to maintain accurate and auditable records, use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing. Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills, basic math skills, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
- Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts.
- Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
- Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
- Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
- Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
- Assist in campus office as needed and maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Work Environment
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).

Pay and Schedule
Full-time, 207 days, Pay Grade: 204
