Elementary Reading Specialist (2026-2027, 1 YR ONLY)

About the role

Community Unit School District 200 is seeking a dynamic, energetic Elementary Reading Specialist who maintains a positive learning environment, holds high academic expectations, and creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning. This position reports to the building principal.

Responsibilities

• Assist schools in creating an exemplar learning community where everyone seeks and implements strategies for improving student achievement and growth

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL) with Reading Specialist endorsement
