About the Role
Lake Washington School District is seeking qualified candidates for the Full-Time Quest Elementary Teacher position at Ella Baker Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This posting will be used to generate an applicant pool for the Ella Baker Elementary site. Program administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview. We will continue to use this posting through fall of 2026.
Program Overview
The Full-time Quest service provides our most highly capable students the opportunity to engage in rigorous, challenging, integrated, and enriched curriculum with their academic peers. The service is designed to meet the needs of students who have been identified as having exceptional cognitive and academic ability by accelerating and enriching the district curriculum.
- Students are enrolled in a self-contained classroom all day, five days a week
- Classes are multi-aged with a 2nd/3rd grade or 4th/5th grade grouping of students
- Learning pace is faster than in the regular education program; students are expected to perform work that exceeds grade level standards by at least one grade level
- In addition to the adopted grade-level district curriculum, the program accelerates math curriculum by one year
- Emphasizes advanced academic thinking skills and strategies, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications
- Washington State teaching certificate with elementary endorsement

- Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days and Responsibility
- Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund
- Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year
- FLSA Status: Exempt
