Elementary Literacy SAC
About the role
The successful candidate must possess a Michigan teaching certificate, be supportive of the school's mission and vision, and have the best possible combination of the following:
- Experience working collaboratively with teachers and administrators
- Theoretical and experiential knowledge of curriculum development
- Solid understanding of Literacy standards as well as high-leverage instructional practices in all subject areas
- Experience developing and facilitating professional learning
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain momentum in Literacy
- Collaborate extensively with Elementary S.S., Science, Math, and SEL SACs
- Facilitate ongoing curriculum and assessment development with teams of teachers, coaches, and interventionists
- Foster and nurture community partnerships to enhance curricular offerings
- Develop, monitor, and refine common assessments
- Compile, analyze, and act on relevant data at the building and district level
- Afford teachers with differentiation to meet the varying needs of our learners
- Oversee curricular resource studies as needed
- Refine and grow supplements and resources for teachers
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate district Professional Learning opportunities
- Create and maintain subject area-specific budgets
- Collaborate with secondary Literacy SAC to ensure coherence and alignment in K-12 Literacy
- Partner with elementary building principals, our Board of Education, and TLC to promulgate our curricular and instructional vision for Literacy
- Actively participate in applicable meetings including SAC, TLC, Elementary Division, and Oakland County Literacy Leadership Networks
Pay
Appropriate placement on the CEA Salary Schedule with SAC stipends.
