What You'll Do

  • Coach and mentor teachers and TA's in implementing evidence-based literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.
  • Model lessons, co-teach, observe classroom instruction, and provide actionable feedback.
  • Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on student achievement and literacy best practices.
  • Analyze literacy assessment data to identify trends, monitor growth, and develop targeted instructional plans.
  • Organize and train a team to provide targeted small-group reading intervention as a part of a school wide WIN program.
  • Cookier Tier II and Tier III literacy interventions within the school's MTSS framework.
  • Lead engaging professional development and support schoolwide implementation of effective literacy practices.
  • Partner with administrators, teachers, interventionists, special education staff, and families to ensure student success.

Qualifications

  • Current Utah Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of five years of successful elementary teaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices
  • Demonstrated success improving student reading achievement
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, collaboration, and coaching skills
  • Passion for helping both students and educators grow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience With CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts)
  • 95 Percent Group literacy programs
  • WIN (What I Need) intervention framework
  • LETRS training or comparable Science of Reading professional learning
  • MTSS and data-driven instructional decision making
  • Instructional coaching or literacy leadership
