About the role

Pleasant Green Elementary School is seeking an Elementary Interventionist Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is open to external applicants only.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core content areas aligned with the USBE's Core Curriculum.
  • Create and implement lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.
  • Utilize technology and other classroom resources effectively.
  • Supervise students in various settings, including indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Evaluate students' academic and social growth.
  • Communicate with parents through various means.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and committees.
  • Administer standardized tests and follow district policies.
  • Model professional conduct and ethics.

Requirements

  • Utah Professional Elementary teaching license.
  • Utah Professional Early Childhood Education license.
  • Out-of-state Professional Elementary license.
  • Must meet or be willing to meet the Utah Science of Reading Requirement (S.B. 241).
  • ESL endorsement preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer and educational technological skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and ability to handle classroom management issues calmly.
  • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.

SkillsKnowledge of the Utah Science of Reading Requirement (S.B. 241).
