Elementary Instructional Assistant

About the role

Hope Ranch Learning Academy is a private Christian school in Hudson, Florida, dedicated to serving students with Autism and other unique abilities. We are seeking an Instructional Assistant to support our elementary students.

Key Responsibilities

• School Activities: Supervise students during lunch, recess, and school outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Classroom Assistance: Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, providing personalized instruction, and managing student behavior.
• Record Keeping: Help maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, contributing to progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree (REQUIRED).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching or classroom support experience (REQUIRED).
• Special Education Experience: Experience working with students with special needs (PREFERRED).
• Christian School Environment: Comfortable participating in a Christian private school setting.
• Additional Requirements: Current and valid driver's license, experience in classroom management and behavior modification techniques, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
