About the role

The Elementary Guide position at New Haven Public Schools is responsible for providing educational guidance and support to students in Grades 1-6. This role requires a strong understanding of Montessori Elementary Certification (512) and/or K-6 Certification with Montessori Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized educational guidance to students in Grades 1-6
• Implement Montessori educational methods and materials
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance student learning experiences
• Assist in developing and maintaining a positive classroom environment
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends and best practices

Requirements

• Montessori Elementary Certification (512) and/or K-6 Certification with Montessori Training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with elementary-aged students

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• At least one year of teaching experience in an elementary setting
• Knowledge of Montessori educational principles and practices

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047
