Responsibilities
- Supporting the Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, orderly, respectful and inspiring elementary classroom environment
- Aiding with daily routines, supporting lessons and daily transitions
- Monitoring recess/lunch and various classroom responsibilities
- Observing and notating on children and supporting individual or small-group work under the direction of the Lead Guide
Qualifications And Qualifications Of Candidate
- A college bachelor’s degree is required
- An AMI Elementary 6–12 diploma, or candidates who are sincerely interested in the AMI Elementary training, with the possibility of sponsorship, will also be considered
- A deep respect for Montessori philosophy and the developmental needs of the elementary child
- A calm, grounded, and joyful presence with children
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Reliability, professionalism, discretion, and a willingness to support the Lead Guide’s vision
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a Montessori environment is strongly preferred
