Elementary EL Teacher (.50 FTE) - 1 year only

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Screen entering students for ELL services
• Plan and deliver English language development instruction for ELL students
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers to assess the progress of students on a regular basis
• Confer with parents and teachers concerning individual students
• Consult with classroom teachers regarding curriculum modifications necessary to meet the needs of the English language learner
• Maintain records for direct served and monitored students
• Maintain and improve professional competencies by attending professional development opportunities
• Attend staff meetings at building and district level

Qualifications/Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Ability to demonstrate competency in organization, flexibility, and cooperativeness
• ACCESS certification preferred
