About the role
Hyde Park Day School (HPDS) is the leading educational program in the Chicago metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to bright students with learning disabilities. We are currently seeking a passionate, patient, and dedicated Elementary Education Teacher to join our Northfield Campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach in a supportive and structured environment
- Focus on instruction rather than bureaucracy
- Guide students through a transformative learning experience
- Work in a small classroom setting with a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio
- Utilize state-of-the-art instructional and assistive technology
- Collaborate with a clinical team including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and social workers
- Participate in ongoing professional development and certification opportunities
- Benefit from free Wilson Language Training certification as HPDS is a Wilson Language Training partner school
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in elementary education and/or a core content area at the secondary level
- Experience with Orton-Gillingham instruction (preferred, not required)

$45,000 - $72,000 per year
