About the role

Hyde Park Day School (HPDS) is the leading educational program in the Chicago metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to bright students with learning disabilities. We are currently seeking a passionate, patient, and dedicated Elementary Education Teacher to join our Northfield Campus.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a supportive and structured environment
• Focus on instruction rather than bureaucracy
• Guide students through a transformative learning experience
• Work in a small classroom setting with a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio
• Utilize state-of-the-art instructional and assistive technology
• Collaborate with a clinical team including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and social workers
• Participate in ongoing professional development and certification opportunities
• Benefit from free Wilson Language Training certification as HPDS is a Wilson Language Training partner school

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in elementary education and/or a core content area at the secondary level
• Experience with Orton-Gillingham instruction (preferred, not required)

Pay

$45,000 - $72,000 per year

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
