Elementary Classroom Teacher

Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (Grades 1–5 or appropriate grade band) in accordance with Louisiana Department of Education guidelines (Bulletin 746).
• Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience is frequently preferred.
• Content Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Louisiana Student Standards for grades 1–4, including English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, as well as curriculum implementation.
• Skills: Strong classroom management and organizational skills; ability to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs; and ability to use data-driven instruction to improve student achievement.
