Elementary Classroom Teacher

Position Overview

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for creating a joyful, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment rooted in Catholic identity and Gospel values. The successful candidate will foster a love of learning while supporting the unique gifts and needs of every child.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned and differentiated instruction in a safe, welcoming, and orderly classroom.
• Promote respect, responsibility, and positive behavior.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, experiences, tools, and activities to inspire student engagement.
• Audit student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, support staff, and families.
• Participate in curriculum planning, professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school initiatives.
• Organize projects, field experiences, and experiential learning opportunities.
• Contribute positively to the school community.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholics in good standing are encouraged to apply, particularly for positions teaching religion.
• Non-Catholic candidates must be willing to support and respect the mission, teachings, and values of Catholic education.
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field preferred.
• Taught experience preferred.
• If not certified, candidates must be willing to work to obtain one during their first 3 years.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the school community.
• Organizational skills, flexibility, creativity, and a growth mindset.
• Pennsylvania clearances as required by law.
