Elementary Art Teacher (Multiple Locations)

Essential Functions

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all students.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Utilizes effective classroom management techniques.
• Work collaboratively with building administration, teachers, parents/guardians and students.
• Utilizes effective classroom management techniques.
• Establish an effective rapport with students assigned.
• Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
• Utilizes technology to support instruction.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
• Manage student behavior.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal, including presentations.
• Ability to use basic, job related equipment.
• Self-motivated.
• Flexible to work with others in a variety of circumstances and a diverse group of individuals.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Education.
• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.

Terms of Employment

• 10 month employee.
• Medical/Dental/Life Benefits in accordance to JSD policy.
• FLSA STATUS: Exempt.
