Electroplating Operator

Job Requirements

• Takes responsibility for and runs all aspects of an electroplating production line.
• Accurately follows written procedures, adjusts bath chemistry, and inspects raw and finished product using various inspection methods and equipment.
• Responsible for setting up, starting, and shutting down electroplating lines.
• Works to achieve scheduling priorities on the line.
• Tracks key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensures safe practices and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Closely works with production supervisors to coordinate and schedule tasks/projects.
• Closely works with support supervisors to coordinate and schedule tasks/projects.
• Ensures ongoing success of company maintenance plans and objectives.
• Ensures ongoing success of company housekeeping and organization objectives.
• Reads and accurately interprets shop paper, provides feedback on issues and changes.
• Performs other assigned duties to achieve department and company goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Team-oriented person with good communication skills.
• High level of job-related knowledge and quality of work.
• Fulfills set attendance/punctuality policies.
• Takes initiative and shows good communication and listening skills.
• Dependable.

Preferred Skills

• Strong chemistry background.
• Strong mathematical background.
• Good organizational skills.
• Electroplating/metal finishing experience.
• ISO quality management systems experience.
• Forklift license (preferred).

Physical Demands

• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, manufacturing job-shop environment.
• Daily use of various chemical baths on the manufacturing floor.
• Proper care and focus must be taken to ensure safety.
• Highly valued communication and teamwork within the company.
• Push for continual improvement.
