About the role
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) position in the Electrophysiology department at Advocate Health focuses on providing advanced practice nursing care to patients with heart conditions. This role requires a strong background in cardiovascular health and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and echocardiograms
- Provide direct patient care, including medication management and patient education
- Participate in clinical research studies related to electrophysiology
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Illinois
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher
- Experience in electrophysiology or related field preferred
- Knowledge of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS)
