Join the ISSS team as an Electronics Technician Associate.

Position: Electronics Technician Associate, Physical Science Laboratory, Department 470680-PSL INFORMATION SCIENCES, located in Las Cruces with offsite work at White Sands Missile Range; full-time (1.0 FTE), non-exempt, AFSCME bargaining unit, contingent upon external funding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of EW equipment during field exercises, testing, demonstrations, and operational missions.
• Support system setup, teardown, transportation
• With supervision and guidance, diagnose faults using test equipment, technical documentation, and established troubleshooting procedures
• With assistance integrate and configure EW systems, subsystems, antennas, RF equipment, power distribution, networking, and hardware in laboratory and field environments
• Fabricate cables, harnesses and other duties as required to support system configurations
• Must be able to support field work to include operations, missions, and testing across a range of environments and conditions, including variable work schedules and exposure to austere or adverse weather conditions.
• Travel is required for field operations, mission support and testing.
• Provide input for progress and status reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma + 1 year of relevant experience, or higher degree. Equivalent qualifications.

Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
