Electronics Technician 2 - Chantilly, VA with Security Clearance

About the role

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services such as intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
• Leading teams on small moderately complex service projects.
• Conducting and documenting daily tool box talks.
• Installing all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Providing on-site software commissioning and testing.

Qualifications

• Clearance/Citizen Type: Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Education: HS diploma or GED, or military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Electrical Apprenticeship program.
• Experience: 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs, with 3 years focused in electronic security systems.
• Skills: Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives, strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
