Role and Responsibilities
- Completes component-level repairs (capacitors, resistors, etc.)
- Tests, troubleshoots and diagnoses basic system failures
- Conducts visual mechanical inspection of units, components (LCD, Motherboards, etc.) and/or subcomponents.
- Performs computer data entry using Microsoft Excel and/or internal databases including production systems
- Follows procedures and diagrams in performing engineering change orders
- Learns and uses new processes and procedures for the MLB repair line
- Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
- May perform other duties as assigned
Education, Training and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 or more years of experience in electronics repair, failure analysis, and diagnosis
- Intermediate skills in through-hole soldering
- Familiar with surface mount technology
- Ability to read and interpret schematics/block diagrams with detailed understanding of computer and subassembly functionality
- Ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes & multi-meters, etc.)
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure quality requirements are met
- Intermediate English abilities required
- Basic Excel knowledge
- Experience using hand power tools
- Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred
Working Conditions And Essential Abilities & Functions
- Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
- Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, bending, and twisting
- Occasional stooping or crouching
- Use of small hand tools
