Join us as a Responsible Product Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer, developing a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment.

This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton, CO, and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

About the Role

The Digital and Analog Talent Center is seeking an experienced Responsible Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) to oversee the test and integration of digital electronics systems. This critical role will build your skills in technical disciplines required to design and realize complex digital products while leveraging technical leadership to ensure the team delivers a product that meets customer specifications and exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee test and integration of digital electronics systems, including digital processing, software-defined radio, command & data handling, controls & avionics, and other digital systems used in Lockheed Martin space or missile systems.
  • Apply expertise in FPGA and/or ASIC design, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, Embedded Software, FPGA Gateware, Systems Engineering/Requirements Management, Systems Integration & Test, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Electrical Engineering.
  • Serve as a Responsible Engineer/Product Lead for analog and digital electronics.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Engage in failure investigation processes, including root cause analysis and Failure Review Boards.
  • Support technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
  • Navigate different phases of the aerospace electronic component development cycle.
  • Interact with peers, management, and government customers.
  • Deliver presentations and written communications proficiently.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in the development of Analog or Digital Electronic circuitry.
  • Experience as a Responsible Engineer for analog and/or digital electronics.

Desired Skills

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience developing products for space or missile applications.
  • Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this role.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $166,900.00 – $309,900.00.

Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per month and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date.
