About the Role

As a member of our Production Team, the Electronics Operator 1 will assemble and test electro-mechanical products in an efficient, timely, and quality-focused manner. This role involves performing a variety of operations requiring delicate and safe manual manipulation of electronics using hand tools, production equipment, computers, diagrams, drawings, and oral or written instructions. The Operator will ensure production quality by diligently following work instructions and complying with quality control inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team-based manufacturing cell to assemble and test complex, small-form electronics.
• Prepare for operator duties by reviewing verbal instructions, work orders, production drawings, assembly instructions, and sample assemblies.
• Perform inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Efficiently assemble and test devices to meet KPIs for timeliness and quality.
• Recognize and document errors and quality issues within products.
• Learn new product assemblies and testing procedures.
• Maintain workstations for cleanliness and safety.
• Follow all plant safety, material handling, and efficiency guidelines (e.g., ESD, 5S, OSHA).
• Maintain good and timely attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of relevant work experience, with a preference for electronics manufacturing or assembly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Documented ability to understand and follow technical instructions in English.
• Ability to recognize critical quality errors and escalate appropriately.
• Ability to document issues in English.
• Demonstrated ability to assemble delicate, small-form technical components efficiently and with high quality.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cell-based manufacturing team.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., keyboard, mouse, browser, email).
• Basic math skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).
• Steady employment history indicating timeliness and good attendance.
• Eligibility for any required U.S. Government authorization under export control regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Documented ability to be trained on multiple seats within a cell-based manufacturing environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Physical Requirements: Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers for writing, typing, and assembling small-form electronics (including repetitive motions). Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with arms and hands. Close vision for computer use, reading, and visual inspections. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Environmental Factors: Work primarily in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
