Job Description

Join the Lockheed Martin team in support of the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics/Test Missile Kit (TMK) Engineering. Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Titusville FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

We are looking for a highly motivated Electronics Engineer Associate Manager to become a member of the Missile Systems Engineering & Integration Team, supporting the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics/Test Missile Kit (TMK) Engineering.

Key Activities

  • Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
  • Covering personnel management for a portion of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Electronics team.
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Manages the research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems.
  • Manages failure investigation and material disposition on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor flight hardware development.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with government customers on requirements definition, planning, avionics integration/operations and performance briefings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering personnel development and performance assessment.
