Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of electronics development including requirement definition, board level component selection and schematic design, physical printed circuit board layout, programmable device digital RTL design, design debug and characterization.
- Collaborate with other disciplines within the center including IC design, software design, mechanical design, imager test, and production groups.
- Develop mixed-signal and instrumentation circuit and system designs as needed.
- Document design processes and results for transfer to manufacturing and user support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 0-3 years’ experience in electronics design.
- Experience or career interest in mixed-signal and instrumentation circuit and system design is desirable.
- Candidates must be a US Citizen.
- Strong PC tools skills, including experience with PSPICE circuit simulation, Altium schematic capture and layout, Quartus or Vivado FPGA development environment, and familiarity with standard laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and function generators.
- Ability to troubleshoot circuits and systems.
- Knowledge of Lidar sensors, CCD, and CMOS imager architectures is a plus.

Pay
The salary range is: $63,873-84,636. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness, and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
