Electronics Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to develop printed circuit boards for industry-leading pressure and temperature instrumentation. This role will own PCB designs from concept through manufacturing while collaborating with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, and global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-layer mixed-signal PCBs and flex circuit assemblies
• Perform schematic capture, component placement, PCB routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation using Cadence Allegro
• Lead and support PCB design reviews covering electrical, EMC, and manufacturing requirements
• Develop PCB layouts with consideration for EMC/EMI, signal integrity, manufacturability, assembly, and testability
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, PCB documentation, and electrical component libraries
• Lead DFM/DFA activities with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Work with PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers to support successful production
• Support component sourcing and design changes for new and existing products

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of experience using ECAD/electrical CAD software
• Experience with PCB schematic capture and board layout
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and EMC/EMI
• Understanding of DFM, DFA, and design for testability (DFT)
• Experience with Cadence Allegro strongly preferred

• Location: Shakopee, MN | Hybrid
• Salary: $90K – $100K
