About the role

BAE Systems is looking for an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer that will be involved in developing, integrating, and testing complex real-time embedded electronic warfare systems. This position will perform systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems-level requirements, operational systems concepts, system architecture trade studies, design concepts, and systems-level integration and test for highly complex EW systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team of engineers (Hardware, Software, and Systems) on EW-related programs performing one or more of the following systems engineering functions:
  • Problem-solving in a large real-time complex EW system environment
  • Interface with EW Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on modeling complex EW systems
  • Requirement analysis/management for complex EW systems
  • Evaluate or develop complex system designs and architectures
  • Develop Functional Performance and Qualification test plans and/or procedures
  • Write Functional Performance and Qualification test reports
  • Contribute to major customer reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, and/or TRR)
  • Perform system-level integration and test of a complex EW system
  • Verify and validate complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Support external testing (e.g., Range test, Flight test, etc.)
  • Analyze and develop Electronic Attack (EA) techniques to counter current and emerging threats to airborne platforms

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • System engineering experience
  • Engineering Leadership experience
  • Requirements Management/Analysis experience
  • An understanding of Radar Systems capabilities and processing
  • An understanding of radar signal processing techniques

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
  • Active Secret clearance (Preferred)
  • Design knowledge of EW systems hardware as it relates to detection and countering of radar and missile systems engagement (Preferred)
  • Understanding of radar operation and employment including cooperative engagements (Preferred)
  • Understanding of RWR and SIGINT systems (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of advanced antenna technologies and performance (Preferred)
  • Reviews, develops, and documents system-level operational concepts and mission statements (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of radar signal processing techniques (Preferred)
  • CAM training (Preferred)
  • Leadership experience (Preferred)

Schedule

This role will be performed full-time onsite due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite. Work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $145,049 - $246,584. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
