GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies, including defense. We are seeking an Electronic Technician to support our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), on-site in Point Mugu, CA. This role involves working in the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL) on advanced hardware such as Intrepid Tiger II.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings for fabricating, testing, and maintaining weapon/avionics systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment.
- Construct, repair, splice, and solder wiring; replace coaxial, USB, Ethernet, and electrical connectors per mil spec standards.
- Troubleshoot system failures using standard test equipment (e.g., Fluke meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and US military test equipment for Electronic Combat Systems.
- Develop and execute processes to simplify difficult-to-manufacture production line items, streamline procedures, and ensure accuracy and completeness of products.
- Set up, calibrate, and test RF equipment and components to compare against manufacturer specifications.
- Use precision measurements on electronic equipment, including Agilent series Spectrum Analyzer (26.5GHz), RF Signal Generator (20GHz), Signal Source Analyzer (7 GHz), Noise Figure Analyzer (26.5 GHz), Dual Channel Power Meter, and Digital Oscilloscope (500 MHz).
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen.
- Current Secret Clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain excellence with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with tight deadlines and handling escalations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $92,650 - $125,350, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
