General Description
STi plans, organizes, directs and controls NUWCDIVKPT’s Test, Training and Evaluation (TT&E) of Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems and Operational Readiness Assessment support for Acquisition and Fleet customers. STi conducts system evaluation activities throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle including technology development, system design, development, production, and in-service readiness assessment. In performance of Test and Evaluation, STi plans and executes test programs; provides test environments that closely approximate war-fighting environments; provides methods for measuring system performance in those environments; and conducts performance analysis and evaluation of the systems under test. STi provides T&E planning, test execution and analytical support. STi supports Analysis and Assessment, Fleet Material Readiness, Signatures and Susceptibility and other Product Areas.
Job Description
- Operates and maintains range support systems, provides maintenance logs, trend analysis and update range databases.
- Maintains electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic range systems.
- Verifies systems operability and logs all maintenance actions.
- Conducts equipment maintenance, backup system-software and upgrades for the Range systems monthly.
- Provides independent assessment and technical support for Fleet Validation/Verification and Range Tests including dockside and underwayshipboard technical support for Shipboard Simulation and Recovery Systems.
- Categorizes and summarizes failure information into a listing delineating failed equipment, causes, dates, corrective actions, recommendations, and impacts.
- Analyzes any recurrent events or trends and prepare Failure Analysis Reports.
- Collects and inputs Range technical, test, maintenance and schedule data into various Range Databases.
- Provides technical support of communication/radio equipment in support of Radio Shop.
- Provides technical support for parts research using Government databases and websites.
Education / Experience
Associates' Degree and three years of experience in related field are desired.
Clearance Requirements
Secret Clearance is required.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $32.01 per hour. Additional Rate: $4.54 per hour for Health and Welfare.

Contract Duration
This is a long standing contract that STi has recently been awarded. The contract with STi has a duration of 5 years, at which time the contract will be re-competed. STi and other vendors will bid at that time, and if in the event STi does not win the resulting contract, personnel on site have first right of refusal on a job offer from the incoming contractor. It is a long term position in that regard as personnel will just change their badging to the new company that takes over, but all positions will remain.
