Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems
- Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition
- Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs
- Assist and/or provide occasional work direction to lower-level technicians
- Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
- Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
- Identify and report supply discrepancies
- Conduct inventories and maintain accountability, including ancillary and support equipment
- Lead inspection requirements and implementing approved configuration changes
- Perform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentation
- Ensure compliance with Amentum’s Quality Control and Safety Programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Five (5)+ years of experience and successful completion from an accredited college or technical school in Electronics or equivalent military training
- High school diploma and possess a valid driver’s license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehicles
- Familiarity with Radar and High-Power transmitters or similar systems preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in electronic, electromechanical and computer systems and the test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics
- Expert-level troubleshooting capabilities preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups of people and at all levels of an organization
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Reside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with threat systems is desired
- Ability to read Cyrillic is desired
