Electronic Technician III

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems
• Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition
• Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs
• Assist and/or provide occasional work direction to lower-level technicians
• Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
• Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
• Identify and report supply discrepancies
• Conduct inventories and maintain accountability, including ancillary and support equipment
• Lead inspection requirements and implementing approved configuration changes
• Perform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentation
• Ensure compliance with Amentum’s Quality Control and Safety Programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Five (5)+ years of experience and successful completion from an accredited college or technical school in Electronics or equivalent military training
• High school diploma and possess a valid driver’s license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehicles
• Familiarity with Radar and High-Power transmitters or similar systems preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in electronic, electromechanical and computer systems and the test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment
• Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics
• Expert-level troubleshooting capabilities preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups of people and at all levels of an organization
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Reside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with threat systems is desired
• Ability to read Cyrillic is desired
