Electronic Technician 2 Secret Clearance
About the role
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Technician 2 for their Ogden, UT location. The primary duties and responsibilities include supporting operations in the CLIF, installing/removing hardware and LRUs, building to drawings, executing work orders, manufacturing lab cables and harnesses, troubleshooting, documenting defects, and ensuring compliance with security and safety directives.
Responsibilities

- Document and report defects as required
- Work with Management, Lab Operations, and Designers to ensure the lab is built and maintained to the correct specifications
- Ensure the CSIL laboratory is compliant with all security, safety, SDS, and other program directives
- Comply with all corporate and laboratory safety and security policies
- Travel, as required, in support of Sentinel requirement verification
- Construct simple test fixtures and perform minor repairs or modifications to test fixtures such as drilling and tapping holes, and wiring and soldering components and component parts as directed by engineer or higher classified personnel
- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems
- Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment
- Perform a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions
- Make and record observations; perform simple calculations; and collect and prepare data for evaluation
- Conduct laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware
- Perform technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements
- May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection
- Perform technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental
Requirements
- Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Knowledge of electronic principles, the ability to wire and assemble circuits and understand the operation of basic test equipment
- Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended time periods
- Ability to multi-task
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years additional education and/or related experience
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Previously approved for Special Access Program (SAP)
- J-STD-001 Certified IPC-610 Certified WHMA-620 Certified
- Experience in fabricating test cables
- Previous experience working closely with Test and Manufacturing engineers
- Previous experience working with inventory control and data base systems
- Experience in lab and/or test equipment design, integration, and build-up
- Harness design experience using Siemens Capital or similar ECAD program
Skills
- Basic electronics knowledge
- Ability to wire and assemble circuits
- Understanding of basic test equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to perform routine tests and fault isolation
- Ability to diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level
- Ability to conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned
- Ability to utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus
- Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans

Pay
The primary level salary range for this position is $48,200.00 - $80,600.00. The actual salary offer will depend on the position, the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
