About the Role
We are seeking an Electronic Technician 2 to support a ground-based missile test set work cell. In this role, you will fabricate, test, and troubleshoot all assets related to the system. This position requires working on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine technical functions to support development engineering activities, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct prototype building, environmental testing, and developmental engineering tasks.
- Perform operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
- Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
- Utilize development or diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, and signal generators.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in an Electronics-related field or a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in an Electronics-related position, with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter (DMM), or similar test equipment.
- Proficiency in fabrication and interpreting schematics.
- Solder Certification is required.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in a lab environment.
- Experience in the fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and cable assemblies.
- Experience testing and tuning microwave assemblies.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting Electronic Warfare systems.
- Micro soldering skills.
- Cable assembly certification.
- Experience with test and troubleshooting using Class B equipment.
