About the role

BAE Systems is seeking systems engineers to develop, build, and work on the world’s most advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems. These systems detect, identify, locate, and counter threats for joint forces and international aircrew.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new ESM capabilities for application in EW systems
  • Performing systems engineering activities such as developing and managing systems level requirements
  • Developing and evaluating system designs and architectures
  • Performing system architecture trade studies
  • Developing and evaluating ESM techniques and algorithms
  • Performing threat analysis
  • Developing performance models
  • Defining systems level integration and test for highly complex systems to verify and validate aspects of system designs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 10+ years of work experience
  • Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)
  • Expertise in documenting and communicating
  • Leading and working within a team on design, development, analysis, test, results, reports, and presentations
  • Experience with Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), or SIGINT systems architectures
  • Experience with Surface and Airborne Radar and Missile System employment, capabilities, and processing
  • Demonstrated Leadership exhibiting behaviors such as Strategic Vision, Creativity, Adaptability, Collaboration, Developing People, Integrity, Courage, and Inspiration
  • Expertise in some of the following: Performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle, developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, leading technical teams, planning, conducting or contributing to trade studies, FW and SW Algorithm development and analysis for detection, location, and identification of threats, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Analog/digital receiver design, analysis, and integration, RF Systems Design, analysis, and integration

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering preferred
  • Experience with system resource management
  • Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management
  • Experience with advanced antenna technologies and ability to model antenna impacts on received and transmitted signals
  • Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw

Skills

Required skills include expertise in documenting and communicating, leading and working within a team on design, development, analysis, test, results, reports, and presentations. Benefits

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317

Schedule

9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
