Primary Duties

  • E=Install, diagnose, program, and repair various analog and digital RF communication equipment
  • E=Use a variety of test equipment for repairs and programming needs
  • E=Operate hand and power tools
  • D=Determine material needs, and order materials for the maintenance or replacement of equipment or systems
  • E=Complete all required service paperwork and records and submit to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
  • E=Respond to emergency repair needs
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • E=Post high school electronic education/training preferred
    • E=Experience may substitute for education
    • E=The ability to keep up industry training
    • E=Possession of hand tools common to the trade to include-wire crimpers-Multi meter-Ability to solder
    • E=Possession of a valid Drivers License

    Knowledge and Abilities

    • E=Knowledge of : Materials, tools and methods common to the trade
    • E=Applicable codes and safety regulations
    • E=Reading and writing communications skills

    Additional Requirements

    • E=Travel to tower sites and/or customer locations in company provided vehicle and assist or troubleshoot system equipment
    • E=Read plans and interpret customer specifications
    • E=Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
    • E=Meet schedules and timelines
    • E=Maintain daily records
    • E=Follow Ka-Comm. Inc. rules, regulations policies and procedures
    • Working Conditions

      • E=Indoor and outdoor setting
      • E=Work around machinery with moving parts
      • E=Drive a company vehicle to conduct work

      Physical Requirements

      • E=Strength and energy to maintain a daily work schedule up to 10 hours per day involving driving
      • E=Physical lifting up to 50lbs with assistance
      • E=Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
      • E=Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
      • E=Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
      • E=Kneeling
      • E=Bending at the waist and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally, to make repairs
      • E=Lifting heavy objects
