Electronic Security Technician - Dallas, TX

About the role

Integrated Protection Systems (IPS) is a rapidly expanding security systems integrator based in Dallas, TX. We are seeking experienced electronic technicians to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and program access control panels, card readers, and locks
• Install, wire, and program video cameras and recording devices
• Install and terminate low voltage and fiber optic cabling
• Serve and troubleshoot low voltage systems
• Provide systems training to customers
• Track assets, materials, and work notes via mobile app

Requirements

• 2 years recent experience installing access control and camera systems
• Self-motivated and eager to build a career in the electronic security/low-voltage field
• Comfortable using electronic security skills independently or as part of a team
• Ability to read security system plans and follow a scope of work
• A passion for technologies such as access control, surveillance, security, electronics, and networking
