Electronic Security Lead Technician
About the role
This position focuses on the site management and installation of advanced physical electronic security and life safety solutions for new and existing clients. You will work alongside internal teams, external teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success. A successful Site Lead operates with minimal supervision, provides daily updates, and collaborates with the project manager as needed. The goal is to train replacements and advance into Project Management.
Responsibilities
- Follow and track project scheduling.
- Direct subcontractor and internal resource communications.
- Manage and coordinate multiple technicians and subcontractors.
- Read and understand written specifications, drawings, and controlling documents.
- Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems.
- Perform installation and training on implemented control systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain new and existing control systems for customers.
- Coordinate project activities with appropriate parties internally and externally.
- Document and communicate necessary project changes and implement them.
- Perform all work in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Complete the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of general access control systems (Lenel and Genetec preferred).
- Thorough understanding of electronic security systems, their components, and the onsite labor required for installation.
- Skills/experience using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to be creative and resourceful in solving uncommon applications.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team atmosphere.
- Strong organization skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer focus and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- 5-7 years of physical/electronic security experience.
