About the role
This position focuses on the site management and installation of security solutions for new and existing clients. You will work alongside internal teams, external teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success, installing, testing, and troubleshooting new CCTV, access control, and security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and troubleshoot new CCTV, access control, and security systems.
- Ensure systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with procedures and quality control standards.
- Provide feedback and information to identify potential barriers to timely project execution, such as construction delays or changes.
- Provide accurate documentation for completed work.
- Maintain assigned company-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, and individual tool issue.
- Maintain and protect building keys to customer buildings.
- Communicate with customers, customer representatives, contractors, and staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
- Stay up to date and knowledgeable in services, technology, and internal processes and procedures.
- Follow installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures outlined by i2G.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and carry tools and equipment up to seventy-five pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Professional and clear communication with customers and co-workers.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and similar software.
- Availability to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends when necessary.
- Maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements.
- Based south of Sterling, VA; must be within a reasonable driving distance to client sites throughout Southern Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of analog and IP camera systems.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking.
- Knowledge of programming digital video recorders (DVRs).
